I mean it is so hot that in Arizona they have grounded planes and cancelled flights because it is too hot. I didn’t even know that it could be too hot for planes to fly. When it’s this hot I must admit I don’t even want to be outside after noon unless I am in the pool, which the water temperature is up to a refreshing 94*!
During these hot times, while it is great for charging your solar on demand fountain and solar lights you also must stay on top of things. Check your fountain daily to make sure it has enough water. In hot temperatures water evaporates quickly and nothing is worse than when your fountain runs out of water. Not very good for the pump, in fact if it could be fatal.
If you have a pool make sure the chemical levels are what they are supposed to be. Get a good test kit like Taylor’s K-2005 and check it daily. With a lot of swimming and sun it depletes your chemicals quickly and opens you up for algae and from what I hear it happens all to fast.
During the day if you are out with the kids, or even at work drink plenty of water and wear some sunscreen. Me, Like I said, I get it done early. Then I will wait for the evening when the sun is low in the sky, cold beverage in hand praying for that cooling breeze. Maybe it is time to spend a few days at the coast?
See you next week
