Backyard water fountains salutes some American classics. What a week it was for us, I hope all of you had a great holiday as well. Upon returning from the coast last week we turned right around and headed to Big League Dreams Sports Park in Manteca, Ca. for the Girls fast pitch State Championships. This summer has been a blast from the past for us. When our boys were young we spent many a weekend at either baseball or football games now the torch has been passed to our grandkids. This year we also had one compete at the National Cheer Championships at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, what can I say, they’re awesome!
Replica of Boston's Fenway Park
Speaking of awesome, if you have never been to a Big League Dreams facility you should make it a point to go. Even if you are not going to watch anyone you know, it is a must see for baseball fans. Replica’s of real major league ballparks for the kids to play on with stadium seats for the fans. The burgers and dogs were very good and not too expensive, all in all a great experience and it was only $5.00 for admission with free parking. My son told me ESPN was also tremendous and a must see as well, well maybe some day for me.
After a couple days of ball it was time to look forward to the 4th. Friends and family gathered in our backyard to celebrate with some cribbage, swimming, grilling, and of course fireworks. It was a good time with weather that was not too hot ( 92*) however as I write this the temp is back up to 105*. Really the only bummer about the 4th is most have to work on the 5th! I have to think that the 5th and the day after the super bowl a lot of people call in sick. Maybe for the Nations birthday we should give the afternoon off on the 4th and all day on the 5th. What do you think?
See you next week
